Ripley County, IN — Two men are facing drug charges following their arrests last week during a traffic stop near the intersection of State Road 129 and County Road 700 North.
The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office says two deputies discovered methamphetamine suspected to weigh more than five grams, and other drugs and paraphernalia inside a pickup truck that had been pulled over during the stop.
36-year-old Frankie Settles of Laurel and 37-year-old Rodney Fitzgerald of Rushville were arrested on several preliminary charges, including Possession of Methamphetamine (Leve 5 felony), Possession of Marijuana (Class B misdemeanor), and Possession of Paraphernalia(Class C misdemeanor).
The Sheriff’s Office says Deputy Jordan Hartmann initiated the traffic stop and was assisted by Deputy Greg Christin and Milan Deputy Marshal Travis Day.
