Versailles, IN—The Ripley County Sheriff’s Department says a Muncie man was seriously injured in a crash on U.S. 421 near County Road 600 South Tuesday. Investigators say a car driven by Leon Watters, Of Muncie, was traveling south on U.S. 421 when he went left of center. Brian Tucker, of Holton, was southbound and could not avoid the collision.
Tucker was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Watters was flown by air ambulance to a Lousiville area hospital with serious injuries. His condition is unknown. The highway was closed for about 90 minutes during the recovery, investigation and clean up.
