Two Batesville Cross Country Runners Wrap Up Season

Terre Haute, IN – On Saturday, two Bulldog cross country runners finished up a highly successful season at the Laverne Gibson Cross Country Course. These both competed against 250 other athletes from all around the state of Indiana, showcasing their talents on the big stage. Under nearly perfect weather conditions, both Kaylynn and Jake ran personal bests.

Kaylynn Bedel crossed the finish line boasting a new season PR at 19:36, placing 114th out of 248 runners. Kaylynn was praised all season long for her leadership and dedication. In the boys race, Jake Chapman also ran a new PR, running an impressive 16:53, finishing 185th out of 248 participants. Jake and Kaylynn will both take “much needed breaks” from running and begin preparation for track in the spring, where they will both look to get back to the State Finals!
