NORTH VERNON, Ind. – Two people have been arrested in connection to the death of a man in North Vernon Friday afternoon.
Authorities located a body, identified as Richard Smith, 52, behind an apartment complex on around 1 p.m.
Later the same day, police arrested JoVonnie Antonio Mayes, 21, of Seymour, and Jody Michael Brooks, 22, of North Vernon.
According to The Republic, the men were found in Harrison County in possession of a stolen truck.
Investigators have not released a motive or how Smith died.
Mayes and Brooks are behing held at the Jennings County Jail without bond on charges of murder, robbery and auto theft.
