Two area road projects start Monday

SOUTHEASTERN IN — We have reminders about a couple of road projects that are scheduled to start today (Monday).

State Road 229 between Boehringer and Shrader streets in downtown Batesville will be closed through Friday for pipe replacement.

The official detour will follow West Pearl Street, Mulberry Street, and Mitchell Avenue to State Road 46.

In addition, Paul H. Rohe Construction will continue work on Huntersville Road.

Please visit batesvilleindiana.us and click on “Road Construction Updates” for more information.

Meantime, a section of Ireland Street in Greensburg is shutting down for pavement patching.

The project was delayed for one week because of weather forecasts.

The road will be closed for up to five days between Washington and Main streets.

Traffic will be routed along state roads 46 and 3.

INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through active construction zones.

All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
