The Twisters hosted the Panthers at the Graveyard. Since it was Senior Day, all seniors started. We had multiple players score with a final of 10-2.
OA got off to a slow start which sometimes happens on senior day as the nerves kick in a little. OA led at the half 3-1 on goals by Garriott Scott, Ben Kraus and Lucas McFee. The floodgates open up in the second half as OA out scored Knightstown 7-1. We were able to move guys around and get some of our defenders up on top as Adam Huber and Sam Mahoney (1st varsity goal) scored along with Alex Geers, Chris Moorman and Sam Johnson getting an assist.
This is OA’s best start since 2009. We have a lot of boys that can play different positions on the team. That is what makes a good team boys being able and willing to play where they are needed.
OA had 17 shots the first half and added 20 in the second for 37 shots for the game. 6 corners, 19 fouls Chris Hautman had 3 saves on the day. 10 goals on the day: 2 by Ben Kraus, 1 by Adam Huber, 3 by Lucas McFee, 1 by Sam Mahoney, 2 by Gariott Scott and 1 by Blake Borgman.
8 assists on the day: 1 for Ben Kraus, 1 for Alex Geers, 2 for Lucas McFee, 1 for Sam Johnson, 1 for Garriott Scott, 1 for Noah Henson and 1 for Chris Moorman.
Knightstown had 5 shots, 9 fouls and scored twice.
