The #3-1A Twisters traveled to the famous McBride Stadium in Richmond to take on the Cardinals of Seton Catholic. The Twisters fell 6-4 dropping their record to 10-7 on the year.
The Twisters go on the board as they scored 2 in the 2nd, 1 in the 3rd, and 1 in the 4th; however, that would be all they would push across. The 5th inning was the inning that hurt the Twisters the most as they gave up 4 runs that allowed the Cardinals to take a 5-4 lead. The Cardinals would add one more run in the 6th and that would be all she wrote. The Twisters gave the nod to soph. Charlie Schebler who went 4 innings, gave up 2 runs (1 earned), walking 2 and striking out 7. At the plate, the Twisters were led by Riley Schebler who was 3-4 in the game.
“It’s a tough loss on the road. We had them where we wanted them, but we just go some unfortunate bounces. We hit a lot of hard balls, and they just made some good plays. We just have to turn the page and focus on our next game”. Coach Behlmer said after the game.
The next game for the Twisters will be at Madison on Saturday, May 15th at 10:00 AM. This will be a single game.
