Batesville, IN — The City of Batesville held their annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony on Friday evening at the Bike Park. This year was a little different due to the pandemic. Viewers were asked to stay in their vehicles and tune into WRBI or watch from the comfort of their homes on the City’s Facebook page.

The tree, a 25-year-old Norway spruce spanning 25-foot tall, was donated by Bohman’s Christmas Tree Farm. Mayor Mike Bettice had help from Ava, Evie, and Isla McMullen to flip the giant switch that illuminated the tree for all to see.
