(Greensburg, IN) – The Tree City Fall Festival’s 2024 Herb Kohler Memorial Parade will be held Saturday, September 20 starting at 10 a.m. Lineup for the parade will begin at 9.
The Grand Marshal for this year’s parade is the family of Merrill Smith, who passed away in May. Merrill played an instrumental role in the Tree City Fall Festival, especially the parade. Organizers say if you were fortunate to know Merrill, you know his humor was one of his many wonderful traits. As an additional way to honor Merrill, a new award has been created: the “Ham It Up” award, which will be given to the funniest entry.
There will be several organizations, hometown heroes, and other familiar faces in the parade with many entries fitting the parade theme, “Heroes Among Us.” There are over 65 entries in total, including 103.9 WRBI.
