Travel baseball and basketball recaps from April 23-24

The following are baseball and basketball travel team recaps from April 23-24.  There may be updates, so please check back.

The 12U Ripley County Rivals, a travel team consiting of players from five ORVC affiliated schools, went 5-0 in Greensburg to win the USSSA Class A Midwest Super Regional.

On Saturday, they beat Diesel-Red (Columbus) 5-2 and Strive-Black (Terre Haute) 6-2, on a combined no-hitter from Weston Cumberworth, Gabe Stone, and Tommy Poole.

On Sunday as the No. 1 seed, the Rivals topped the Batesville Bats 6-3, the Georgetown Flyers 9-8 and the Elletsville Mustangs 9-1 in the four-inning final.

In the championship, Parker Pindell tracked down a moonshot at the fence.  The team had 11 hits and 11 steals.

Team members include: Sam Johnson, Nolan Harmeyer, Will Meyer, Parker Pindell, Abe Speer, Gabe Stone, Tommy Poole, Seth Thomas, Weston Cumberworth, Luke Kaiser, Brian Jones.

The 16U SEIclones finished second at the Bloomington War On The Floor Basketball Tournament.  Team members include: Kaden Muckerheide, Cooper Parmer and Brady Mauer of North Decatur;  Conner Drake and Cade Kaiser of Batesville; Bradley Lutz of Greensburg and Logan Ahaus of Lawrenceburg.
