The 6th grade girls St. Louis basketball team opened their season with a loss of 38-13 against the St. Marys of North Vernon Wildcats. The girls had a slow first half and started to attack on defense in the second half of the game. However, the Cardinals could not get the points they needed to become victorious. Claire Baker and Lydia Dwyer led the team with 4 points each. Kristen Obermeyer and Cassandra Meneses each had 2 points and Isla Padgett had 1. Lucy Brelage and Evelyn Ollberding were very active on defense and did not stop fighting for the ball. Their next game is on February 6th at Mt. Carmel.
