Sunman woman gets 14-years in meth dealing case

Versailles, In. — A Sunman woman was sentenced 14-years in prison for dealing in methamphetamine in Ripley County court.

Documents show Anita Dustrude, 46, of Sunman, sold methamphetamine to undercover officers on two occasions over a ten month period. At the hearing, she pled guilty to two counts of dealing in methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a syringe and maintaining a common nuisance.

The first case was a sale of methamphetamine in October of 2017. While she was out on bail she was arrested a second time for dealing in methamphetamine in July of 2018.

During the investigation, she told police she purchased methamphetamine in Cincinnati to sell in Sunman.

Prosecutor Ric Hertel said, “The successful prosecution of this case is the result of a concerted effort and a strong collaboration between the Indiana State Police and the Ripley County Prosecutor’s Office.”  Further, Hertel complemented the Indiana State Police for their dedicated effort investigating drug crimes.
