Sunman, IN—During the Sunman Town Council meeting last Thursday, Clerk treasurer Cheryl Taylor approached the Council with a request for additional appropriations from two approvals from December of 2019. The first was to fund the general fund to account for additional money needed to pay the rate increase for the Town Marshall. Also at the December meeting, a part-time deputy was hired but was not approved for the 2020 budget. Taylor sought approval, pending the State Board of Accounts approval, to use money from the Water and Wastewater accounts to cover the salary. The Council approved this request.
