Stenger throws complete game shutout in OA varsity baseball’s win over Seton Catholic

Jacob Stenger threw a complete game shutout to lead the Oldenburg Academy Twisters past Seton Catholic 15-0 on Wednesday.  Stenger surrendered zero runs on three hits over five innings, striking out ten and walking zero. “This was exactly the type of game we needed from both an offensive perspective and from Stenger on the mound,” Kolks said. “We got contributions from everyone – starters and subs. Everyone contributed, which was great to see.” Kolks added.

Cy Muckerhide led the Twisters to victory at the plate by driving in four runs. Muckerhide went 3-for-5 at the plate, driving in runs on a double in the first, a single in the third, and a single in the fourth.

The Twisters improved their record to 6-9 with the win on Wednesday night. They will travel to Switzerland County to face the Pacers this Saturday. The first pitch is at 10 am.
