Stella F. Weberding

Stella F. Weberding, age 101 of Batesville, Indiana, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 10, 2024, surrounded by her family at Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg, Indiana.  Born August 10, 1922, in Hamburg, Indiana, she is the daughter of Andrew and Frances (Nee: Lamping) Bedel.  She married Robert J. Weberding on June 25, 1947, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Hamburg and he preceded her in death in 2011.  She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and its ladies society.

Stella was a homemaker and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

Stella loved gardening and tending to her flowers, especially her geraniums.  She was famous for her sweet pickles, cinnamon rolls, and vegetable dip.

Many will remember seeing Bob and Stella regularly on Saturday nights at the Eagles Club dances.

Having her family and especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren around was truly treasured.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Gary and DeVota Weberding of Sunman, Indiana, Dennis “Whitey” and Sandy Weberding of Batesville, Donald “Dinger” and Carol Weberding of Batesville, Tony “T.W.” and LeNita Weberding of Batesville, and Kenny and Kim Weberding, of Batesville; daughters and sons-in-law Kathy Moore of Greensburg, Indiana, Deb and Jack Mauzy of New Albany, Indiana, and Jane and Steve Keeth of Dixson, Missouri; 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents and husband, Stella was preceded in death by her brothers Andy, George, and Lawrence Bedel, sisters Marie Wietlisbach, Marcella Leising, Loretta Nobbe, and Edna Redelman; grandson Todd Weberding and son-in-law Steve Moore.

Visitation is Wednesday, July 17th, from 4 – 7 p.m., at Weigel Funeral Home in Batesville, with a rosary service at 3:30 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 18th, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Batesville, with Fr.
