BATESVILLE, Ind. — As part of severe weather preparedness week, the state of Indiana will be conducting a statewide tornado drill today.
There will be two drills with the first being at 10:10 this morning, and the second at 7:35 this evening.
The test will sound on commercial radio and television networks, as well as on all-hazards radios.
Most cities and towns will be participating in the drills as well and will sound the weather sirens.
The Indiana Department of Homeland security urges all residents to participate in the drills as well, by planning for a real emergency.
Know where to go at work or school and at home.
Know what to have.
Know where to turn for emergency information.
Make sure loved ones know the plan as well.
