Statehouse GOP Keeps Current Leaders for ’25 Session

(Statehouse) – Republicans in the Indiana House and Senate have voted to keep their current leaders for the 2025 legislative session.

State Rep. Todd Huston of Fishers was re-elected Speaker of House, and will serve a second full term in that role.

House Republicans also re-elected Rep. Greg Steuerwald of Avon as Majority Caucus Chair, along with Rep. Matt Lehman of Berne as Majority Floor Leader.

Sen. Rodric Bray of Martinsville will remain Senate President Pro Tempore and Sen. Chris Garten of Charlestown continues as Majority Floor Leader.

GOP Sen. Travis Holdman of Markle will stay Majority Caucus Chair.

Republicans continue to have super majorities in both Statehouse chambers.

Forty of the 50 Senate seats and at least 67 of the 100 House seats are in the GOP column.
