St. Louis Volleyball Traveled to Jac-Cen-Del

The Cardinals volleyball teams were back in action Tuesday night on the road at Jac Cen Del.  Once again both teams played two close, exciting games.

The 7th-grade team fell in 3 sets with scores of 22-25, 25-23, and 13-15.  Scorers were led by Katie Hammond with 10 points including 1 ace, Lucy Brelage with 8 points including 3 aces, and Isla Padgett with 6 points including 1 ace.  Isla Padgett led the defense with 13 digs, supported by Eloise Hamilton with 6 digs.  Claire Baker, Reagan Siefert, Heidi Schneider, and Amelia Scheibler all added 1 kill a piece, while Lydia Dwyer added 2 kills.

The 8th-grade team lost in 2 sets with scores of 22-25 and 19-25.  Kristen Obermeyer led the way in scoring with 5 points.  Claire Baker and Emma Hunter added 4 points, and Natalie Kranz added 3 points.  Bella Watson held down the back line with 14 digs, supported by Natalie Kranz with 7 digs and Grace Hardebeck with 6. Emma Hunter scored 3 kills.

The Cardinals will play their final regular season game on Thursday, taking on St. Nicholas at Oldenburg Academy.
