The Cardinals traveled to Greensburg Jr. High Tuesday night. The 7th grade team fell in two sets 24-26 and 16-25. Scorers were led by Kristen Obermeyer with 12 points, including 10 aces. Lucy Brelage added 6 points and 6 aces. Kristen Obermeyer contributed 3 kills, with Claire Baker adding another 2 kills and 3 blocks.
The 8th grade team also fell in two sets with scores of 16-25 and 22-25. Emma Hunter led scorers with 7 points including 6 aces. Kristen Obermeyer and Bella Watson each added 4 points. Claire Baker and Natalie Kranz added 1 kill each, and Natalie Kranz had 1 solo block. Bella Watson held down the defensive court with 4 digs and had a 77% serve-receive passing accuracy.
Both teams are in action on Saturday for their home tournament. Come out and enjoy an action-packed day of volleyball in the SLS Activity Center!
