On Tuesday, the St. Louis Lady Cardinals hosted the South Dearborn Squires in junior high volleyball.
The seventh grade Cards won 25-19 and 25-9.
“The girls did a great job in a new rotation based on who we had to play where,” said St. Louis coach Erin Trenkamp. “They stepped in, played selflessly and got the job done.”
The Squires won the eighth grade contest 25-19 and 25-18.
“Working with players missing and not having practiced the rotation can really mess with the flow,” stated Trenkamp. “Our girls had some seventh graders step in and play and did a great job. These ladies worked very hard, but we just couldn’t come out on top.”
We thank coach Trenkamp for the information.
