St. Louis & Ripley County Engineering Academy win regional title

OSGOOD, Ind. — St. Louis and the Ripley County Engineering Academy won in their divisions at the 6th Annual Rube Goldberg Machine Contest at Jac-Cen-Del Elementary.

In Division I (middle school) St. Louis’ “Rube World Staffers” consisted of 7th graders.

The team walked away with the Teamwork Award, Spirit of Rube Goldberg Award, and the Judges Award.

The team will advance to the national contest scheduled for March 26 in Columbus, Ohio.

In Division II (high school), the Ripley County Engineering’ machine “Operation Sam” not only captured first place in the division, but also won the People’s Choice Award, Teamwork Award, Judges Award, and the Peer Award.

The team will advance to the National contest on March 25 in Columbus, Ohio.
