BATESVILLE, IN — When classes began Monday, August 9, students at St. Louis Catholic School celebrated their first week back with many fun and worthwhile activities.

They had an “Olympic” theme for the week in which each homeroom picked a saint from a different country and displayed their flag.

The school also had several competitions, including a food drive, collecting items for T-3 backpacks, and a Penny War for another special cause. A total of 833 items were collected during the food drive along with over $700 collected in the Penny War.

Students and staff ended the week with a fun day at Liberty Park that Friday, followed by the National Anthem and prayers around the flagpole to finish the day.
