Saturday. They St. Mary’s Greensburg and St. Michaels’s en route to the tournament title.

St. Louis vs. St. Mary’s Greensburg

The Lady Cardinals found themselves down 4-1 after the first quarter. SLS would come alive in the second quarter behind the scoring of Gina Grote and Belle Young to tie the game at 10 at halftime. SLS turned up the defensive pressure to take a 16-12 3rd quarter lead and held on to it the rest of the game.

Belle Young led the way in scoring with 7 points. Gina Grote added 6 points, Aubrey Baker had 5 points, and Olivia Leising had 2 points.

Championship Game vs. St. Michael’s

The Championship game was a rematch from Wednesday night as the Lady Cardinals once again took on St. Michael’s.
The Lady Cardinals came out with tough defense and a balanced scoring attack to go up 10-5 after the first quarter. The second quarter was a back-and-forth affair as each team managed just five points to get to a 15-10 halftime score. SLS would only give up 9 points in the second half to give the Lady Cardinals the OASIS Girls Classic Championship.

Olivia Leising had a big game for the Lady Cardinals, scoring 17 points. Aubrey Baker had 6 points, Belle Young and Gina Grote each had four points, Maggie Tekulve had 2 points, and Ava Becker had 1 point.
