The St. Louis 6th grade girls’ basketball team got their first win of the season against the Mt. Carmel Vikings, 20 to 19. The girls came out fighting in the first quarter with a quick 8 points. The Vikings were fast to follow, keeping a four-point spread the entire game. Claire Baker led the team in points with 12. Lydia Dwyer had 6 and Cassandra Meneses had 2. Kristen Obermeyer was tough in the paint. Lucy Brelage and Evelyn Ollberding assisted the team strongly on both offense and defense. The Cardinals are back in action on February 8th against Greendale Middle School.
