Batesville, IN – The 5th Grade Lady Cardinals shined for their 3rd win on the season vs. Mt. Carmel on Wednesday night. Despite this being their third game in as many nights, the girls came out with lots of heart and determination, eager to get another win.
The Cardinals continued their success on the defensive end, creating turnovers and grabbing all the defensive rebounds. High numbers in both of those categories has been a common theme in their wins this season and that is their key to success. Passing for an open shot played a key role in this win as the Cardinals improved on offense as well. The Cardinals were led in scoring Wednesday night with Sarah Durham and Cora Gribben both having 4 points. Halle Meyer, Lesley Nunez and Edie Walke each had 2 points and Lucy Becker hit 1 free throw for a point. Final score, 15-0 Cardinals.
St. Louis is back in action next Tuesday when they travel to Greendale (Lawrenceburg) to take on the Tigers at 5:30 PM.
