(Franklin County, IN) – INDOT contractor Beaty Construction, Inc. closed State Road 101 northeast of Brookville on Tuesday to complete a slide correction project.
The closure is located just west of Bonwell Hill Road.
State Road 101 is expected to reopen in the area in late July, weather permitting.
During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route, which follows State Road 1 to State Road 44 to State Road 101.
This project is part of a $1.5 million contract awarded to Beaty Construction in November 2025.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.
All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
