Will Jaisle and Dane Dudley combined on a no-hitter as Batesville went on the road and blanked Rushville 10-0 in varsity baseball last evening. Jaisle was dominant on the mound, striking out 10 Lions in four innings of work. Dudley pitched the final three innings, striking out six and walking one. Alex Krekeler went 2 for 4 at the plate and drove in two…In the JV contest, it was Batesville over Rushville 12-1. The Bulldogs put the game away when they scored seven runs in the 3rd inning.
Batesville Middle School golf completed an undefeated season by capturing first place at the Batesville Invitational last evening at Hillcrest Golf and Country Club. It was BMS Team 1 with a 177 – led by medalist Stella Maple, who shot a 42, and Beckett Jones, who carded a 43. Franklin County was second (193), followed by Batesville Team 2 (200), East Central Team 1 (204), EC Team 2 (216), and Batesville Team 3 (238).

ESPN is reporting All-Pro defensive end Trey Hendrickson says the Bengals are no longer talking to him. Hendrickson is looking for a new contract, but he and the Bengals have not been able to come to an agreement this offseason on a deal. The situation between Hendrickson and the team has been a major offseason story.
