Two individual athletes and four relay teams from Batesville High School track and field earned medals at the Hoosier Relays Indoor State Meet at the Indiana State Fairgrounds on Saturday. Ayden Eckstein came in third in the high jump, and Ella King finished sixth in the shot put. The Bulldogs’ boys and girls 4 X 800, girls distance medley and boys 4 x 400 relay teams also earned podium status.

In college basketball, the NCAA Tournament’s Final Four will be made up of all number seeds for just the second time. Houston knocked off Tennessee 69-50 in the Midwest Regional final yesterday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. And it was Auburn over Michigan State 70-64 in the South Regional final in Atlanta. The Final Four will take place Saturday in San Antonio, with Florida taking on Auburn, followed by Duke vs. Houston.
