Greensburg run ruled Scottsburg 12-2 in 6 innings in the Class 3A baseball regional at Madison in a game heard Saturday on WRBI. Greensburg scored eight runs in the 4th inning to put the game away. Caleb Greiwe went 2 for 4 at the plate with a home run and three driven in. Logan Meyer knocked in four runs. Pitcher Lance Coy gave up one earned run on 3 hits with eight strike out and two walks over six innings to get the win. The Pirates will take on host Jasper in the 3A semi-state semifinal this Saturday afternoon. The winner moves on to Saturday night’s semi-state championship game against either Guerin Catholic or New Palestine.

The Oklahoma City Thunder rumbled over the Indiana Pacers 123-107 in Game Two of the NBA Finals as heard last night on the Sports Voice. The best of seven series is tied at one game a piece, and and shifts to Indianapolis for Games Three and Four Wednesday and Friday. WRBI airtime Wednesday night is at 8:00.

The Reds rallied to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-2 to complete a three-game series sweep yesterday afternoon at Great American Ball Park in a game heard on WRBI. The game was tied at 2-2 in the bottom of the 7th when Matt McLain smacked a two-run homer to left field that proved to be the game winner. Christian Encarnacion-Strand and Jose Trevino added solo homers. CES’s longball was his third since coming off the injured list on Friday. Taylor Rogers got the win in relief. Tony Santillian notched his second save. The Reds embark on a two-city, six game road trip and look to clinch the Ohio Cup when they open a three-game series tonight in Cleveland. The Reds have traded catcher Austin Wynns to the Athletics in exchange for cash considerations. Wynns was designated for assignment on Friday when Christian Encarnacion-Strand came off the injured list.

The Indiana Fever got a win without Caitlin Clark and their head coach on Saturday. They knocked off Chicago 79-52. Head coach Stephanie White didn’t make the trip due to a personal matter. Assistant coach Austin Kelly coached in White’s stead. Kelsey Mitchell led the way with 17 points, and Aaliyah Boston added 11 of her own. Indiana is 4-and-4 now on the season as they will face the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday.

The Indianapolis Colts will begin mandatory minicamp on Tuesday. It will be without Anthony Richardson taking any first-team reps. He will be sitting out due to aggravating the AC joint in his throwing shoulder. It’s the same joint he injured in 2023 and had to have surgery on. Daniel Jones will be getting the majority of the reps during minicamp. Head coach Shane Steichen would not put a timetable on Richardson’s return, but he does expect Richardson to be ready for training camp in late July.

The Indianapolis Indians split their series against the Redbirds after a 6-2 victory in the finale from Memphis. DJ Stewart led the way at the plate after going three for four with a pair of runs batted in. Indianapolis snapped its two-game skid and will host the St. Paul Saints for a seven-game set that begins tomorrow night.
