The Washington Nationals beat the Reds 6-1 in D.C. in a game heard last night on WRBI. Chase Burns surrendered all six Nationals runs and was charged with five earned. He’s still in search of his first big league win. His record dips to 0-2. Despite the losing effort, Burns matched his career high with 10 strikeouts. The Reds will try to snap a three-game losing streak and avoid being swept in the series finale this afternoon. The series wraps up this afternoon. Lefty Nick Lodolo goes for Cincinnati. The New York Liberty bested the Indiana Fever 98-84 last night in Brooklyn. Kelsey Mitchell poured in a game high 29 points. Caitlin Clark sat out last night’s game with a groin injury.

The Indianapolis Colts open training camp today at Grand Park in Westfield. Daniel Jones says the quarterback competition between he and Anthony Richardson has not been top of mind for him this off-season. Defensive back Charvarious Ward says the defense has the potential to be “special” this year. The Colts will practice for the next two weeks in preparation for the preseason lid lifter against Baltimore.
