Major League Baseball’s 95th All-Star Game is set for tonight in Atlanta. Paul Skenes of the Pittsburgh Pirates will start for the National League. The Detroit Tigers’ Tarik Skubal goes for the American League. The Reds will be represented in the Midsummer Classic by shortstop Elly De La Cruz and lefthanded pitcher Andrew Abbott.
Cal Raleigh of the Seattle Mariners is this year’s Home Run Derby champion. Raleigh takes home his first Derby title in his first appearance after outlasting Tampa Bay Rays star Junior Caminero. He’s also the first catcher to win the event.
The Chicago Bulls topped the Indiana Pacers 114-105 in NBA Summer League action last evening in Las Vegas. All five Pacers starters scored in double digits. With the loss, Indiana drops to 1-2 in Summer League play. The Pacers will be back on the court Thursday against the New York Knicks.
The Indiana Fever hit the road tonight when they face the Connecticut Sun in WNBA action. Indiana has won two straight and is 11-10 on the year. Tipoff is at 8 p.m.
