
In other local girls games last night, it was Rushville 39, Batesville 27. Maggie Jelinek led the Bulldogs with nine points. Batesville won the two-quarter JV contest 14-11; Class 3A #10 Madison tripped 4A #12 East Central 65-37; North Decatur bested Milan 42-26; and Rising Sun got past Jac-Cen-Del 59-57.
The Batesville Bulldogs, for the second year in a row, have claimed both SEI Tournament titles after the 7th and 8th grade squads defeated East Central in championship games on Thursday night at St. Louis. In the 7th grade game, it was BMS over East Central 37-27. Isaiah Hernandez tossed in 14 points off the bench for the Bulldog 7th graders, who finish the season at 16-6…The BMS 8th grade squad completed a perfect 21-0 campaign with 44-18 victory over the Trojans. Logan Schneider and Clayton Kaiser both scored 11 for the 8th grade Bulldogs.
North Decatur 8th grade bounced Waldron 63-24. Troy Brown threw in a game-high 20 points, while teammates Wes Horstman and Jake Whitaker each scored 10 for the Chargers, who go to 16-1.
Milan heads to South Ripley in boys basketball tonight.
