Franklin County pulled away from Jac-Cen-Del 57-40 in boys basketball action heard last night on the Sports Voice. Four Wildcats scored in double figures. Jerod Rauch led the way with 15 points; Ezra Kolb added 14; Max Foster notched 13, and Carson Allen finished with 10 points. The Eagles were led by Darian Grieshop with 12 points. Franklin County improves to 5-8 while JCD drops to 3-9.

In the only other local boys game on the schedule last night, it was Trinity Lutheran 73, Milan 61.

In girls action last night, South Decatur got past Edinburgh 39-37; Talawanda rolled over Franklin County 56-16; Oldenburg knocked off Trinity Lutheran 52-47; South Ripley crushed South Dearborn 58-26, and it was Switzerland County 55, Jac-Cen-Del 39.

East Central visits South Dearborn in boys basketball tonight. Coverage begins around 7:15 on 103.9 FM and the WRBI App…In the only other boys game on the area docket, North Decatur visits Oldenburg Academy.

Batesville Middle School Boys Basketball is championship bound after a pair of semifinal wins in the SEI Tournament on Tuesday night at Jac-Cen-Del. The Bulldog 7th graders bested crosstown rival St. Louis 40-13. Nine BMS players hit the scoring column. The Cardinals’ Nicholas Lieland led all scorers with 10 points. Batesville 7th grade improves to 15-6…The BMS 8th graders notched a 38-22 win over South Ripley. Logan Schneider scored 12 of his team-high 14 points in the second half. The Bulldogs are now 20-0 on the season. Batesville and East Central will square off in both SEI Tournament Championships Thursday at St. Louis. 7th grade tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., and fans are encouraged to get there early due to the smaller venue.

North Decatur 8th grade knocked off cross county rival South Decatur 65-46. Ross Gorrell led the Chargers with 18 points; Davis Scripture added 17 including five 3-pointers, and Troy Brown had 15. North Decatur takes a 15-1 record to Waldron on Thursday.
