Milan knocked off Jac-Cen-Del 70-61 in boys basketball heard Saturday night on the Sports Voice. The Indians’ Micah Norman erupted for 30 points to lead all scorers and add to his program-record career point total. Gabe Riehle added 17 and Grant Langferman chipped in 13. Darien Grieshop led the Eagles with 24 points while teammate Blake Wagner added 13. With the win on the home planks, Milan squares its record at 10-10 overall while Jac-Cen-Del falls to 4-17. Both teams are now 3-2 in the ORVC…

Also on Saturday, it was South Ripley over Greensburg 66-52. The Raiders were led by Eli Gilpin’s 30 points – including 8 threes. Blake Gunter added 18. Jacoby Miller led the host Pirates with 30 points…And South Decatur beat Brown County 69-51.

The Seattle Mariners rallied to beat the Reds 14-8 in Cactus League baseball from Goodyear, Arizona heard yesterday on the Sports Voice. The Reds have today off and will be back in action tomorrow against Kansas City in Goodyear.

The Dallas Mavericks got past the Indiana Pacers 134-130 in NBA action last evening in downtown Indy. Paskal Siakam led Indiana with 30 points. Andrew Nembhard added a double double: 22 points and 11 rebounds. The Pacers are back at it tomorrow night at home against Philadelphia.

Lawrenceburg native Nick Goepper narrowly missed an Olympic medal Friday at the 2026 Winter Games in Milan Cortano, Italy in the men’s freestyle skiing halfpipe. Goepper, who entered his third and final run in bronze medal position, crashed while attempting a big trick and fell to fourth place, which knocked him off the podium.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver and former Purdue University football star Rondale Moore was found dead at a home in New Albany on Saturday. The New Albany Police Department found Moore in the garage with a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound. Moore was born in New Albany. He won a state basketball championship in 2016 at New Albany High School, and he won a state football title in 2017 after he transferred to Trinity High School in Louisville. Rondale Moore was 25.
