North Decatur finished at 236 in a three-way girls’ golf match with Eastern Hancock and Union County Tuesday evening. The Chargers Mary Stier earned medalist honors by shooting a 52. The Patriots finished 1st while the Royals came in 2nd. North Decatur will host Edinburgh, Southwestern, and Hauser at North Branch this afternoon.

The Reds bounced the St. Louis Cardinals 9-2 last night at Great American Ball Park to complete a three-game series sweep. With the win, the Reds and Cardinals are tied for second place in the National League Central at 60-61 – eight games behind division-leading Milwaukee. TJ Friedl celebrated his 29th birthday by clubbing two solo home runs. Jonathan India also hit two homers, and Tyler Stephenson launched a solo shot in the 3rd inning. Cincinnati hit a total of 10 home runs in the series, compared to one for the St. Louis. The Reds are off today before beginning an interleague series tomorrow night at home against the Kansas City Royals.

The Bengals are in Chicago and will hold a joint practice with the Bears today before their preseason matchup Saturday afternoon. Coach Zac Taylor says Logan Woodside will start at QB Saturday, with Jake Browning out with a rib injury.

The Colts and Arizona Cardinals will get together for the second of two joint practices today prior to Saturday night’s preseason game at Lucas Oil Stadium.

ESPN is reporting the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game will be played in Indianapolis. It will be the first time the Circle City has hosted the event. Indianapolis is riding a wave of popularity around the league after the Fever drafted NCAA all time leading score Caitlin Clark in April. A formal announcement is expected soon.
