Spending study hopes to curb ‘post-holiday spending regret’

Batesville, In. — The National Retail Federation estimates the average spent per-person for the holidays will be about $1,000, up more than 4 percent from last year.

Data from WallHub® shows the average household credit card debt is $8,332. In order to combat “post-holiday spending regret” their panel of financial experts has analyzed five population characteristics to estimate holiday budgets for people in 570 American cities.
