Batesville, IN — The Southeastern Indiana YMCA will offer a free “Safety Around Water” program for kids ages 6-9 from Monday, June 28 through Thursday, July 1.
The goal of the class is to ensure they know essential water safety skills, which can open up a world of possibilities for them to satisfy their curiosity safely. Statistics show that 60% of kids who drown are within 10 feet of safety, which illustrates that drowning is preventable.
Registration is open for this four-session class with a choice between two class times: 10 to 10:45 am or 6 to 6:45 pm. To register call the Southeastern Indiana YMCA at (812) 934-6006 or visit their website www.siymca.org.
