The South Ripley Raiders edged out the Batesville Bulldogs in a thrilling matchup on Friday night, securing a 78-74 victory on the road.
The game was a tightly contested battle from start to finish. After a 23-23 tie at the end of the first quarter, the Raiders pulled ahead in the second, taking a 46-39 lead into halftime. Batesville rallied in the third quarter, outscoring South Ripley 17-10 to tie the game at 57-57 heading into the fourth. However, the Raiders regained momentum in the final minutes to seal the win.
South Ripley had standout performances across the board, highlighted by a balanced offensive effort. The Bulldogs fought hard, with multiple players scoring in double figures, but their efforts came up just short.
The Raiders return to action on Saturday, December 28, facing Orleans in the Southridge Tournament.
