South Ripley survived a late comeback by South Decatur on Saturday, winning 13-12.
South Ripley led from the bottom of the first up until the top of the seventh, where the Cougars scored 8 runs to take a 12-11 lead over the Raiders.
South Ripley’s Brooklyn Brown would answer with a walk-off two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh to give the Raiders the 13-12 victory
The aforementioned Brown led the Raiders in hitting, batting 4-5 with a home run, 3 doubles, and 4 RBI in the win.
South Ripley returns to action on Monday, April 10th, against Switzerland County. South Decatur is on the road at Oldenburg Academy on the same day. First pitch for both games is at 5 pm.
