In a rare Friday night match for high school volleyball, South Ripley defended its home court and defeated rival Jac-Cen-Del 25-16, 25-10, 25-22.
Jac-Cen-Del coach Cat Schmeltz said the Lady Eagles played evenly with the Raiders through the first half of set one but then struggled through the second half and the majority of set two. JCD was able to mount a comeback and stay close in the third set before eventually losing to the Lady Raiders.
