Southwestern Shelby hosted the Jeremy Wright Small School Cross Country Invitational Saturday at the Blue River Course. A total of 41 teams were represented but only a few area programs had enough to qualify as a team. In the girls meet, Switzerland County was 6th and North Decatur was 16th. In the boys meet, Southwestern Hanover finished 13th, Rising Sun came in 21st and North Decatur was 26th.
The top local finisher for the day was Milan’s Ben Riehle who placed 9th out of 240 runners in the boys race with a time of 17:56.
