Versailles, IN—South Ripley Community School Corporation announced on Tuesday that the Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2020 has been postponed from the original date of May 30 due to circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. The senior class sponsors have been in discussion with the class officers and, taking their input into consideration, we are committed to doing our best to try to provide an in-person ceremony to recognize the accomplishments of this graduating class.
The new date for graduation will be Sunday, July 26, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the South Ripley High School gym. The goal is this will be an in-person ceremony and that the school will be able to provide each graduating senior with a specific number of tickets for family members to attend. The school also plans to have a live stream of the ceremony available for those unable to attend in person.
