Senior Genevieve Smith continued her hot start to the 2024 season by pouring in five goals in Monday night’s Greensburg girls soccer win at Indian Creek. The Pirates won 7-0. Smith’s 15 points lead the state of Indiana in points. Her 14 goals are second in Indiana to Brownsburg’s Emory Smith. Sophomore Kadence Rich also added two goals for the Pirates. Smith and Rich assisted each other once. Senior Marissa Powers added three assists. Junior Jaylin Thornton added an assist as well. The Pirate defense allowed only one shot on goal. The Pirate defense has allowed only one goal and 13 shots this season. Greensburg (4-0) is back on the pitch Thursday when they travel to Batesville for a 5 p.m. kick.
