Connersville, IN —According to their social media page, a Connersville Police Captain “detained” a very large python on Thursday after a motorist observed the snake laying on a county road in Fayette County.
This animal was surrendered safely to an experienced handler, who will return the snake back to health and find a safe permanent location for the snake to be safely kept according to CDP. It is believed that this snake was a pet that either escaped or was released by its owner.
The snake, nor any officers were injured during this incident. However, it is reported that no other officers are present in the pictures as they were “busy” elsewhere.
