(Statewide) – County recorders across Indiana are urging Hoosiers to sign up for the free Property Fraud Protection program, which is offered in all 92 counties.
The recorders say, while the program does not prevent fraud, it provides an early warning system for property owners to take appropriate action if they suspect they may be victims of fraudulent activity.
More than 72,000 residents have signed up for the program.
Ripley, Decatur, Franklin and Dearborn County residents will use Doxpop to be alerted to potential property fraud.
