Shirley Ann Walston, age 89, of Rising Sun, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at the Waters of Rising Sun. Born March 4, 1935, in Allensville, Indiana, the daughter of Leroy James and Faye A. (Tinker) Baker.
Shirley, a 1953 Aurora High School graduate, married James Leroy Walston May 3, 1958. Member of the Lawrenceburg First Church of God.
Shirley is survived by her daughters Melanie Griffith, Tammie Calvert, and Lisa Owens. Grandmother of Shawn, Jennifer, Zachary, Jonathon, and Mason. Great-grandmother of Blake, Easton, Spencer, Lilly, Izzy, and Eli. Dear sister of Larry Baker.
Preceded in death by her parents Leroy and Faye Baker, husband James Walston, daughter Debbie Walston, granddaughter Kristi Renee` Walston, and brothers Edward and Norman Baker.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor Donald Pierce officiating, all at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home, 215 East Broadway Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030. A burial will follow at Glen Haven Cemetery in Harrison, Ohio.
