Several Southeastern Indiana Counties add travel advisory

Statewide—Over the weekend, several Counties in Southeastern Indiana added the orange travel watch status.  This includes Shelby, Bartholomew, and Jennings.  Franklin County remains an orange travel advisory and Decatur remains as a red travel warning.  Jefferson County is under a yellow advisory for travel.

An Orange status means that conditions are threatening to the safety of the public. During a “watch” local travel advisory, only essential travel, such as to and from work or in emergency situations, is recommended, and emergency action plans should be implemented by businesses, schools, government agencies, and other organizations. A yellow is the lowest travel advisory and indicates that some activities in the County may be restricted or hazardous.
