Franklin County, IN — A series of public meetings on the Hoosier Enduring Legacy Program (H.E.L.P.) will be held across Franklin County.
The first meeting to gather public input on local improvement priorities takes place tomorrow (Wednesday, February 15) at the Brookville Public Library with two sessions: one between 2-4 pm and the other between 6-8 pm.
H.E.L.P. is a year-long program that offers guidance for communities in spending allotments of Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Funds, which were created under the American Rescue Plan Act.
The H.E.L.P process will culminate in a community-focused Strategic Investment Plan.
The program is administered by the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs, which is providing matching funds to improve Franklin County and Brookville.
Franklin County is one of nine communities across the state to be included in H.E.L.P. and received notification of its participation in November 2021.
