BATESVILLE – Drivers heading west on I-74 are spending a portion of Sunday afternoon in traffic.
A tractor-trailer carrying automobiles caught on fire near mile marker 149, between Batesville and New Point, resulting in a major traffic backup around noon.
Police say the interstate reopened around 1 p.m. but traffic is moving slow.
There was no immediate word on any injuries or if any other vehicles are involved.
