(Osgood, IN) – Southeastern Indiana REMC will host Safety Night on October 11 from 6-8 p.m.
The event will take place at the electric co-op’s headquarters on Buckeye Street in Osgood, and will include a live line safety demonstration and other workshops.
The following topics will be offered:
- Home Electrical Safety – Learn practical skills to safeguard your home. Identify hazards, perform basic maintenance, and respond to emergencies effectively.
- Preparing for Power Outages – Empower yourself with strategies to maintain safety and comfort during outages. Be prepared with practical tips and proactive measures.
- Storm Preparedness and Electrical Safety – Learn critical steps to protect your home and family during severe weather events. Equip yourself with essential electrical safety precautions.
- Generator Safety – Understand safe usage and maintenance of portable generators. Learn placement, ventilation, and handling tips.
The live line safety demonstration by SEI REMC experts will help you understand live line risks, safety protocols, and real-life scenarios.
